Jack Douglas
Artist
Heralding from the outer Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Jack Douglas grew up during a time when the mullet and happy pants were still in fashion. Propelled by this awesomeness, he drew great influence from Hanna-Barbera, Looney Tunes, tattoo flash, skateboard graphics, comics and the artwork of Salvador Dali and MC Escher. During his teens he discovered graffiti art the pop surrealism and the rest is history. The images he spews from his mind are often grotesque, shining a spotlight on those less fortunate than us and those who dwell on the outskirts of our society and the darkly humerous situations they seem to land themselves in.
