Georgie Thompson
Georgie has always been passionate about food and the adventures that have come with it. Growing up in a tropical hinterland with her sisters on mango, pineapple and avocado farmland encouraged long summery days of food- related adventures. Days were spent out in the rainforest, peeling mangos, popping passionfruit and picking just enough avocadoes from the back paddock to sell on the roadside for pocket money. These adventures in food, with friends and family have never stopped and have seen Georgie around the world.
Along with food-related adventures, Georgie is passionate in her professional life. During the course of her degree in communication design, she built a interactive, recipe-generating fridge based on ingredient input. Along with building the Bookery Cook community, Georgie is currently working as digital designer in Brisbane, Australia.
