Norweigen photographer Christopher Jonassen reveals the darker side of the frying pan with his series, "Devour", where the wear and tear on the bottoms of these kitchen staples are captured to resemble the frozen surfaces, red dust and crater-dotted terrain of our intergalactic surroundings.

A pair of french graphic designers Thomas and Quentin created the Fat & Furious Burger when they started to take pictures of their lunchtime burgers after giving them makeovers influenced by news headlines, pop culture and whatever else they can sandwich in between ... 

This week's Illustrated Recipe is a cheeky number by UK artist Mesh137...juicy apples, fleshy mussels feature in this cidery Moules Mariniere...what's not to like? 

Mesh137 is inspired by street culture -- skateboarding, graffiti, old records, pulp comics and movies, his work is created using a mix mediums - paint pens, spray paints, metallic and acrylic paints and crystals.

This is a beautiful photoshoot that appeared in German magazine Brigitte, and was found on a lovely blog, Dietlind Wolf.

Lunchbox is a collection of small acrylic paintings created by San Francisco/New York based artist, Dan Kenneally. These colourful minimalist treasures feature colourful strips representing the ingredients on classic sandwiches..
