Exhibition: and I shall be your canopy by Lucy James

For her solo exhibition at Stockroom Gallery, and i shall be your canopy, Lucy has produced a series of works particularly focused on colliding imagery of active human endeavours with imagery of flora and fauna classification. and i shall be your canopy marries ideas about our inherited sense of human identity and biological categorisation. With dynamic composition and an amassed accumulation of forms, there is a sense of re-activated history. This is our collective past re-ignited and served up with the contemporary implications of genetic transformation, biological hybridisation and overwhelming natural growth and chaotic power.
