That Funky Monkey

New York has opened our eyes to several flavour sensations; dollar slices, 'smors' and having peanut butter on absolutely everything. The most recent liquid delight we were introduced to is the 'brass monkey'.

 Brass Monkey is typically a 40 of Olde English "800" mixed with orange juice.

One drinks the 40 down until the beer is level with the top of the cylinder of the bottle, then tops it back up with orange juice.

It is suprisingly a very tasty treat and will set you back an average of about $3.5 per beverage, which is why this is also known as 'the poor man's mimosa'. 

Brass Monkey

1 40 Olde English "800" lager
200ml orange juice 

Drink liquid down until level with the cylinder or label of the bottle, top with orange juice and enjoy.
