Weekend reading: PORT Magazine

Weekends were designed for food magazines. Reading, salivating, dog-earring pages, list writing and future dinner parties are all triggered with a pot of tea, a good read and a few hours to spare.

One of the best editions of a food magazine to hit the shelves this summer is the FOOD edition of British men's magazine PORT.

This isn't your usual 'food' magazine with recipes, food spreads and all that jazz. This magazine includes personal interviews, informative articles, tips, tricks and hints about food, food trends and even fashion spreads- basically a fashion magazine, but for food.

The summer 'food' edition is put together by guest editor Fergus Henderson (head chef at St John St in London)

In this themed issue, guest edited by internationally renowned chef Fergus Henderson, highlights include:

• A styled feature with Nigella Lawson shot by revered fashion photographer Juergen Teller
• A profile shoot with some of the world’s leading chefs, Ferran Adria, Mathias Dahlgren, David Chang, Mario Batali, Michel Roux Jr and Gabrielle Hamilton.
• A stunning photo essay on fish with information by restaurateur, fishmonger, food writer and chef Mitch Tonks.
• 10,000 Hours with David Lidgate of the infamous Lidgates Butchers in London.
